Honeymooning in Andaman: A 6-Day Romantic Escape That Actually Feels Like a Break

You know how most honeymoons are just glorified “pose in front of landmarks” trips? Not this one.
Andaman isn’t just romantic — it’s a full-blown mood.

We’re talking slow sunsets, empty beaches, candlelit seafood dinners by the ocean, and enough alone time to actually talk (or just vibe silently, your call).

Here’s how our 6-day honeymoon in Andaman went down — and why I’m recommending it to every couple ever.

???? Day 1: Port Blair Arrival — Soft Start, Big Feels

After the wedding madness (and a very dramatic airport goodbye wave from the fam), we landed in Port Blair.
It was quiet. Peaceful. And our hotel had the sea view I prayed for.

The highlight? Visiting the Cellular Jail in the evening. Sounds weird for a honeymoon, right? But it was powerful, grounding, and gave our trip a meaningful start. The light & sound show set the tone: beauty with depth.

????️ Day 2: Ferry to Havelock – Let the Real Romance Begin

We hopped on a ferry to Havelock Island, and let me tell you — it’s the Maldives’ chill Indian cousin.
Our beach resort had a hammock with our name on it. We dropped our bags, changed into shorts, and headed straight to Radhanagar Beach.

Golden hour there? Cinematic. I swear time slowed down. We didn’t speak much — didn’t need to.

???? Day 3: Underwater Vibes & Snorkel Shenanigans

Next up: Elephant Beach snorkeling. This was his idea, and I was internally panicking (I can’t swim!). But the guides were super helpful, and 5 minutes in, we were both floating over coral reefs like baby dolphins.

We saw clownfish, bright blue corals, and even a sea cucumber that looked suspiciously like my caterer’s gulab jamun. Romantic? No. Memorable? Absolutely.

????️ Day 4: Slow Life on Neil Island

We shifted to Neil Island, which felt like the honeymoon equivalent of airplane sleep mode. Slow, quiet, and dreamy.

We had a private dinner by the beach — just the two of us, the stars, and grilled fish so fresh it probably had plans that evening.

In the morning, we caught the sunrise at Sitapur Beach. Pink skies, no crowd, and lots of mushy moments we’ll never post because some things are just for us.

???? Day 5: Shopping, Chilling & Matching Outfits

Back in Port Blair, we did some souvenir shopping — think pearls, seashell jewelry, and fridge magnets that now live next to our wedding invites.
We also wore unintentionally matching outfits. (Okay, maybe not unintentionally, I did pack his shirts.)

Chilled by the hotel pool, scrolled through all the photos, and realized we looked happiest in the messy, unposed ones.

???? Day 6: Bye, But Not Really

We didn’t want to leave. Even packing was sad. But what made it better was the fact that it all went so smoothly.
The transfers, hotel bookings, activities — all taken care of. We didn’t argue once over logistics (which I’m told is rare for honeymoons).

We had booked this
???? Andaman tour package
before the wedding, and honestly? It made our lives 1000x easier. No last-minute panics, no overspending, no “Did you book the ferry?” drama.

???? Final Word: Go. Just Go.

Andaman is the destination if you want privacy, nature, some adventure, and romance that isn’t forced.
It doesn’t try too hard — and that’s what makes it perfect.

To any newlyweds, engaged couples, or even long-time lovers:
Book that ticket, pack that swimwear, and grab a solid

so you can focus on each other, not Google Maps.
